Protein Power Diet: Gain Muscle with Grass Fed Beef
Are you on a protein power diet? If so you're probably eating this way to gain muscle and/or lose fat. Grass
fed beef is the perfect compliment to this diet.
For me, being on the protein power diet is a muscle building thing. You know how sometimes you have 15 inch biceps and really want 16
inch biceps? That's where I'm at for the most part. I just want that extra something flowing through my system and helping me along with the
muscle building process.
What are you on a protein power diet for? There must be a particular reason. Is it to drop fat and gain muscle? Regardless of why you have
chosen a protein power diet, I suggest you do all the necessary research prior do dieting this way.
When you're on any kind of diet, especially one that puts such an emphasis on protein, you want to make sure the protein you're eating is of
the highest quality. So much of the protein available today is laden with dangerous chemicals and hormones...like steroids and harmful
phyto-estrogens. You certainly want to avoid that, right?
For the protein power diet my advice is to eat only organic, grass fed beef.
Why orgainic? Because organic beef doesn't have any chemicals or hormones. The chemicals and pesticides are used in growing the
food that the animals eat and are then stored in the animal's fat cells. This is how they're passed on to us when we're eating
protein. If you're on the protein power diet you'll be eating more of these harmful chemiclas if you're not eating organic sources of
protein.
Why grass fed beef? Grass fed animals produce a much better and healthier source of protein. The phytonutrients in the grass the
animals eat get digested and assimilated by the animal and stored in it's body fat as well. These nutrients are then passed to us when
we eat grass fed sources of protein.
The fat in grass fed beef is very healthy and that's important when you're on the protein power diet and therefore eating a lot of
protein. The fat from grass fed animals contains a high amount of heart healthy Omega 3 fat as well as conjugated linoleic acid
(CLA). CLA is a fat that will actually help you lose fat while you gain muscle.
